The film is a remake of 2011 “Les Lyonnais”, a French crime-drama. It is based on the Chaukdi gang of the 1970s that was actively involved in robbery and smuggling.
The one-and-a-half minute clip revolves around the friendship of Phagun (Vidyut Jammwal) and Mitwa (Amit Sadh). Phagun, Mitwa are seen committing crimes since childhood, having gunfights, and enjoying precious time together with their friends by the river Ganga.
The teaser will also show their old age looks and how their friendship will see some bad times as well. Set in Uttar Pradesh and Nepal, the film will sport a retro look with long hair, printed shirts and bell bottoms.
After some of the wonderful flicks like Paan Singh Tomar, Saheb Biwi Gangster series, Manjhi and many more in the list Tigmanshu Dhulia is again ready with Yaara. Read what the Director had earlier said about his upcoming crime-drama.
He said, “Yaara is a homage to honour friendship between four friends, a riveting take on any crime narrative that we have seen so far. I think another highlight of the film is the casting. It is a unique, talented mix of actors who have done a phenomenal job on each of their characters. All of them have their own indigenous style to express their lines and emotions.”
