No doubt Sui Dhaaga actor Varun Dhawan has established himself as one of the most bankable actors of Bollywood with back to back hits. After delivering two successful films in the past, father-son duo David Dhawan and Varun Dhawan are all set for their third collaboration. They have teamed up for the remake of Govinda and Karisma Kapoor’s hit flick Coolie No. 1. The 1995 movie was also directed by David. Coolie No.1 is praised to be one of the best comedy films in Indian cinema.
On the other hand, Sara Ali Khan has made an impact right from her debut. Both her films Kedarnath and Simmba did well at the box office. The girl has been just two films old and already she is being roped in many films. Now, the rumors are abuzz that Sara Ali Khan has been roped in to star opposite Varun in the romantic comedy. According to a source, Varun and Sara will share screen space in the former’s first home production. It will be directed by David Dhawan, who had also helmed the original.
Sara expressed her desire to work with Varun in Coolie No. 1
This will be the first film to roll out under their banner The One Entertainment. The 23-year-old will step into Karisma’s shoes and the makers are changing the character sketch a bit to make the remake even more prominent. Before this Sara expressed her desire to work with Varun on Karan Johar’s chat show. While working for Coolie No.1 remake it seems like she can live her dream.
Varun has almost finished shooting for Abhishek Varman’s period drama Kalank, has Remo D’Souza’s dance film in the pipeline. On the other hand, riding high on success, Sara Ali Khan has also bagged some films which have Imtiaz Ali’s next film and Karan Johar’s Ranbhoomi on the top list.
