Death Anniversary Special: Highlights About Legendary Actor Of Bollywood Kader Khan

The super talented actor, scriptwriter, dialogue writer, comedian, and director Kader Khan was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, on 22 October 1937. He was one of the three sons of Abdul Rahman and Iqbal Begum.

He did his schooling from a local municipal school and later in the Ismail Yusuf College and graduated in Engineering specializing in Civil engineering.

The actor died on 31 December 2018 in Canada.

Here are some unknown facts about the legend.

1. 1970 and 1975 was the time when Kader Khan taught at M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering in Byculla as a professor of civil engineering.

2. Aged 34 during his teaching days, he took part in a play. Dilip Kumar, present at the event, was so impressed by his acting that he signed him for his next film in 1971.

3. Khan made his debut as supporting role in Daag, starring Rajesh Khanna.

4. In 2013 for his work and contributions to Hindi Film industry and Cinema, he was awarded Sahitya Shiromani Award.

5.    Khan was recognized twice by the AFMI (American Federation of Muslims from India) for his achievements and service to the Muslim community in India.[28][29]

6.    On 26 January 2019 Government of India announced to posthumously award Kader Khan Padma Shri.

7. His writing career in Bollywood began when Narinder Bedi asked him to co-write the script for Jawani Diwani with Inder Raj Anand, for which he got 1500 rupees.

8. The versatile actor has written dialogue for over 1,000 Indian films and appeared in more than 300 movies.

9. He worked with all the leading actors of the day in his over 30-year career.

10. Khan was a two-time recipient of the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue for Meri Awaaz Suno (1982) and Angaar (1993).

11. In 1991 he also won the Best Comedian Filmfare for Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri.

12. He was also a part of comedy television series titled Hi Padosi Kaun Hai Doshi?

13. In 2017 he lastly appeared on screen in the forgotten film Masti Nahi Sasti.
