Actor Jason Bateman won the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award for the Best Actor in TV Drama for “Ozark”. The actor is best known as a comedic straight man. Earned raves in critically acclaimed projects such as Juno, Zootopia and Arrested Development.
Furthermore, Bateman calls “Ozark” one of his “proudest moments” of his entire career. In his acceptance speech, Jason Bateman dedicated his award to his family. Jason thanked his wife and daughters in an emotional tribute onstage as he received his award.
He paid tribute to wife Amanda Anka, calling her an almost ‘full-time dad’. He told his family ‘Without you none of it would be enjoyable and probably wouldn’t be possible. So I love you more than I ever tell you I do. Jason shares Francesca, 12, and Maple, six, with his wife, Amanda Anka, 50, and revealed that she’s the one keeping him grounded. Bateman also gave an inspiring speech assuring the aspiring artists that they are all one job away from making it.

He said: “You wonder if you’re any good because what we’re doing is we’re just liars up there, you know, and we’re wondering if people are buying it. Everybody is just a job away.
“For me, it was ‘Arrested Development’. I am very, very grateful to that show. I just want to say to the people at home and not working as frequently as they want, you’re just one job away. You’re plenty talented. Hang in there.”
In one of his previous interview, he stated “It was always more and more auditions.
You’re constantly trying to get hired, and if you do get the job, that job ends in a matter of weeks, and then you’re going on another job interview”. Jason Bateman also added “An actor is constantly faced with those stakes, almost on a daily basis, and it’s a pressure cooker”
