The shoot for Hindi Medium Sequel will start soon
Irrfan Khan will be seen shooting for Hindi Medium sequel. Irrfan announced last year that he had been diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor and he went to London for the treatment. He was under treatment for almost a year and is now back in Mumbai. Actor-director Tigmanshu Dhulia told in a conversation, “I did meet him after he returned to India. He is perfectly fine now. Irrfan told me that he will begin shooting for Hindi Medium franchise soon.”
Although earlier reports claimed that Irrfan won’t be working for at least a year but now reports of Irrfan Khan starting to shoot the sequel of Hindi Medium have been doing rounds. The sequel to the 2018 Hindi Medium will not have the original director (Saket Chaudhary) neither will the female lead Saba Qamar. About collaborating with Irrfan, Tigmanshu Dhulia added, “We will do a film soon. Actually, we were in the process of writing one for him. Probably, if everything goes well, we shall be making the film soon.”

The close source to movie told, “Also, since the story, this time around will be about Irrfan’s beti wanting to go abroad for further studies, the film will be shot in the US and London. Even the title is likely to change. The producers are planning to call it English Medium.”
Dhulia has worked with Irrfan in films like Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster Returns and Paan Singh Tomar. Irrfan before his treatment worked in Akarsh Khurana’s “Karwaan”, alongside Mithila Palkar and Dulquer Salmaan. The actor was also seen in Hollywood film “Puzzle”, in which he starred opposite Kelly Macdonald.
