Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga

Recent romantic release “Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga” stars the real-life Father and Daughter, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor as the reel life Father and Daughter first time on big screen. The movie is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar under Vinod Chopra Films. The screenplay is well written by Gazal Dhaliwal and Shelly Chopra Dhar. The other actors in the movie are Juhi Chawla as Chatro, Rajkummar Rao as Sahil Mirza, Regina Cassandra as Kuhu, Akshay Oberoi as Raza and many more.

The story revolves around a young Punjabi girl Sweety (played by Sonam Kapoor), who has to convince her father Balbir Choudhary (played by Anil Kapoor) and her over enthusiastic traditional family who wants her to get married to a young writer. Sweety is a lesbian and falls in love with another woman but fears to reveal the truth about her sexual preference to her family and the society as her true love may not be accepted socially. This is the first Indian movie to deal with the lesbian relationship. It was released on 1st February 2019 and an earning of Rs. 28.58 Crore at the Box Office

Not only at the Box Office, but the movie has bagged a special place in the hearts of the audiences. People are feeling really connected with the thought of love and acceptance that is behind this movie. This has somehow broken the stereotype that love can be seen in many forms, irrespective of their gender or sexuality and western or traditional. Whereas some old traditional people have thought it to be an anti-social movie. But overall it was seen casting a great impact on the society for not being judgemental to anyone based on their sexual or love preferences.
