Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge the romantic melodrama recently reached a remarkable milestone 1000 consecutive weeks screening in a single cinema the Maratha Mandir in Mumbai. Aditya Chopra’s superb bring out is truly in its original theatrical run still. At the start of the movie we got to know about Simran and Raj who grew up in London. Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) played the role of a wealthy playboy and Simran (Kajol), an obedient daughter, has just been told it is time for her to return to India and marry the man she has been betrothed to since childhood, but whom she has never met. Simran asks his Father a month’s vacation in Europe with friends and he allows.

Both Raj and Simran met on a train, and again throughout their trips. Raj hits on her, annoys her, and embarrasses her but soon they fall in love. As Simran gets back she is taken to India by her unforgiving father (Amrish Puri) downtrodden mother (Farida Jalal). Raj follows Simran and with all the drama, action and thrills we all know what the end was “Jaa Simran Jaa Jeele Apni Zindagi”.
