Recently Stephen Colbert was accompanied by Chris Pratt to share his secret to surviving in Hollywood. The actor also talked about the pressures ringed around him having celebrity status. During the massive talk Colbert asked the Jurassic World Star, “Do you ever feel like you’re in a lion’s den by being a celebrity in the public eye with, you know, people always trying to figure out what’s going on with Chris Pratt and the cameras pointing at you”.
To this, The Guardians of the Galaxy star responded saying, “Yeah, yes, I suppose I do.” Not stopping at this, he parted a quote from Pastor Christine Caine, this has helped him to stay grounded in Hollywood. He said, “But, there’s this great quote I actually heard in church and it felt really appropriate which was, ‘if the spotlight that’s shining on you is brighter than the light that comes from within you, it’ll kill you.” “And you see it all the time,” Pratt added.
This came into limelight when Pratt recently completed The Daniel Fast. It has been around a long time since the Old Testament, in fact. But actor Chris Pratt gave it new popularity recently by posting an Instagram story about adopting it as his latest diet. The Daniel Fast is a religiously rooted plan drawn from the Book of Daniel. It is a short-term eating plan, which appears in the Old Testament. The story describes Daniel deciding to avoid the rich, indulgent foods that surround him. The diet has “nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink” for 10 days. A later confession of his quoted, “I, Daniel, mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips, and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over.” At the end of the fast, to everyone’s surprise, he was healthy.
