Story: Chinna Babu forms the story of a big family, headed by Penugonda Rudraraju (Sathyaraj). Despite having five daughters with his first wife (Viji Chandrasekhar), he marries another lady (Bhanupriya) so that he can have a son. His dream comes true with Krishnam Raju(Karthi) ,the only son of Rudra Raju. Being pampered by every one in the family he becomes the root cause of fight between two of Rudra Raju’s sisters who want their daughters to get married to Krishnam Raju. But Chinna Babu falls in love with Neerada (Sayesha Saigal) and the twist begins. Now how Krishnam Raju solves all his family problems and finally marries Neerada forms the rest part of the story.
Along with Karthi there’s no doubt that Sayyesha Saigal has delivered a great performance in the movie and impressed with her looks as well as performance. Satya Raj us usual delivered a remarkable performance and played a key role in the movie.
The thing that makes movie a bit boring is too much melodrama in the second half. Again there is lack of romance between Sayyesha and Karthi, which makes the flick a bit weak. After so much melodrama and problems, the film is wrapped up with just a small speech from hero’s mother and this looks a bit hard to believe.
On the whole, Chinna Babu is fun at times and has the right emotions that will make the movie watchable. The dispute point where hero is getting forced to marry one of his family members forms quite interesting part of movie.
