Aamir Khan after the debacle of his big budget film Thugs Of Hindostan has resumed work on his new project Mogul.
Thugs Of Hindostan was a quite disastrous release at the box office. Apparently, Aamir Khan is quite unhappy with the box office. So he has now packed his bags for being a part of a biopic like Mogul. This is also a period drama of sorts. Mogul will be produced by the music mogul’s son Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner. According to a new report, the casting process of the film is in its final stages and Bhushan Kumar is looking for a new director to helm the project. The film will roll as soon as they can finalize the director. The superstar is said to be losing weight for it.
Aamir Khan wants Hirani to direct the film
The actor had walked out of the film after actor Geetika Tyagi had accused Subhash of molestation in April 2014 under #MeToo allegations. Reports have been trolling that Rajkumar Hirani will be holding the bow for Bhushan to direct Mogul. A trade source informs, “While Hirani loved the script, he hadn’t given his nod to direct it yet”. Apparently, it is Aamir Khan who wants Hirani to direct the film. Truth cannot be denied that both share a great rapport, personally and professionally.
Again Aamir Khan also has Mahabharata in his bucket which is remembered to be his dream project. While the actor himself is yet to confirm the news, SRK had dropped major hints about Aamir doing Mahabharata. He said, “Krishna from Mahabharata was a role he would love to play”. But “it has already been taken by Aamir so I will not be able to do that.”
